Advanced Medicine

The Department of Orthopaedics and Accident Surgery provides treatment for patients whose locomotor system is damaged, injured or otherwise impaired. This includes in particular knee joint surgery, foot and spine surgery and joint replacement surgery.

The Department of Plastic and Hand Surgery likewise offers a broad range of treatment, one particular focus being breast restoration surgery, for example after cancer treatment. The Department of Plastic and Hand Surgery has been certified as a Reconstructive Breast Centre by the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC).

The comprehensive spectrum of treatment provided by the Centre for Laser Medicine encompasses everything from vascular tumours and vascular malformations to urogenital and proctological diseases, as well as the treatment of tumours and respiratory disorders. Patients with rare conditions such as neurofibromatosis type 1 or tuberous sclerosis likewise receive the highest level of care here.
