Situated to the north of Berlin, Immanuel Klinikum Bernau Herzzentrum Brandenburg is a specialist heart centre and primary care hospital with departments of surgery, gynaecology, obstetrics, internal medicine and paediatric care. A teaching hospital of the Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane, over 12,000 inpatients and approx. 18,000 outpatients are treated here every year. Performing approx. 1,500 cardiac operations and over 6,400 treatments in four cardiac catheterization laboratories per year, and boasting six operating theatres, the Herzzentrum Brandenburg is one of Germany’s leading cardiac medical centres. Situated in Wannsee, Immanuel Krankenhaus Berlin is a tertiary care hospital specializing in orthopaedics, rheumatology, naturopathy and osteology. Its specialist departments collaborate on an interdisciplinary basis, providing integrative and holistic treatment for patients with locomotor disorders. The hospital’s specialized equipment includes a physiotherapy department with an exercise pool and a three-phase cold chamber for cryotherapy at temperatures down to -110°C. Roughly 5,500 inpatients and approx. 10,000 outpatients are treated at the Wannsee site each year.

Situated in Buch, Immanuel Krankenhaus Berlin is one of the largest specialist rheumatology hospitals in Germany, offering rheumatology services both in an outpatient clinic and on an inpatient basis with 80 beds. The hospital specializes in diagnosing and treating systemic inflammatory rheumatic diseases such as connective tissue diseases and vasculitis, rheumatoid lung disease and rheumatic conditions associated with infection. A central principle of the hospital’s approach is comprehensive treatment by an interdisciplinary team comprising rheumatologists, internal medical specialists, orthopaedists and specialists in other fields.
