The two orthopaedic departments have broad clinical experience in the treatment of all diseases and injuries affecting the hand, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, forefoot and hindfoot, and the spine. Rheumatology orthopaedics and endoprosthetics are areas of particular specialization.

In treating inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the locomotor system that involve chronic pain, the Department of Rheumatology follows an integrative and holistic approach, offering just the right balance of inpatient and outpatient care and working closely with naturopathy, orthopaedic and osteology specialists. The spectrum of diseases dealt with at the department includes rheumatism, gout, fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis, as well as complex systemic rheumatological diseases.

The Department of Naturopathy at Immanuel Krankenhaus Berlin and the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin’s university outpatient clinic for naturopathy that is based here constitute a centre of excellence in the scientifically founded clinical application of naturopathy methods and complementary medicine in line with modern integrative medicine.
