At Campus Berlin Buch, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin cooperates closely with the renowned Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) and runs a university centre for translational clinical research. At the huge Berlin-Buch science and technology hub, the Charité profits from the close proximity to other companies such as the globally renowned Leibniz-Institut für Pharmakologie (FMP). Buch is also home to one of Germany’s largest biotechnology parks, with numerous innovative companies based there.

Advanced Medicine

Together with the Max Delbrück Center, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin runs the interdisciplinary university outpatient clinic of the Experimental and Clinical Research Center (ECRC) in Berlin-Buch. Research into specific diseases is pursued there, e.g. in the fields of cardiology, neuroimmunology, endocrinology and nephrology, and highly-specialized medical treatment provided. Patients are offered a wide range of intensive and individual treatment and care. The ECRC stands out on account of its modern diagnostic methods and internationally renowned expertise. Within the framework of certain clinical studies, patients can benefit directly from the findings of the basic research carried out here.
